We made another visit to Chipping Sodbury Common in the late morning. Two Juveniles Northern Wheatears showed fairly well. A few Small Heaths were still on the wing. At least 7 Yellow Wagtails were feeding amongst the cattle in the long grass, but were easy to see in flight.
In our garden was a Speckled Bush Cricket.

We went to Dawlish Warren to see 70000 Britannia on the English Riveria Express from Crewe-Kingswear & back. Britannia took charge from Norton Frizwarren for the journey southwards & made an excellent departure from the station and around Langstone Rock. 47614 provided some rear assistance.
While we were in the area, we went to look for some Autumn Ladies Tresses & there were a few about, although mostly gone over. A quick stop was made at Powderham to see the Fallow Deer, which were in the Deer Park. We headed over the other side of the Exe Estuary to Bowling Green Marsh RSPB in Topsham. A Common Sandpiper was seen in front of the hide. Also were Common Teal, Eurasian Wigeon, Black-tailed Godwits, Little Egrets & Shovelers. We then headed to nearby Exton, where the Osprey was still perched on it's favourite post. More Black-tailed Godwits were seen with Oystercatchers & a Curlew. In the evening, we headed to Exminster Marshes RSPB to see 70000 & the class 47 heading back north towards Exeter. Britannia worked as far as Taunton, where 47593 Galloway Princess took over for the run back to Crewe.
