Yate & Ridge Woods 26th February 2021
Me & Dad went to Kingsgate Park in Yate to see the Goosanders. There were 6 birds seen on a small lake before they took at 8:00AM & flew towards Cooper's Lake. The Male however misjudged it's take off & had to start again. He eventually managed to catch up with the Females. There were 2 Coal Tits foraging in the conifers & a Goldcrest singing. We also had a quick walk around Ridge Woods & saw Blackcap, a couple of Redwings, Song Thrush & Dunnock. Also singing & calling around the area were Goldcrest, Great Spotted Woodpecker & Nuthatch.
