It was last reported briefly on 7th October. The Osprey was also still hanging around the area & flew over a couple of times during our visit.

Chew Valley Lake 14th October 2021
We started our visit to Chew Valley Lake at Stratford Car Park, where we saw a Great Spotted Woodpecker perched in one of the trees. The Greenshank was still in Stratford Bay, but not much else. A Male Common Darter was perched on the rail outside the hide. We heard some Bearded Tits calling, but didn't show themselves sadly. At Herriott's Bridge, we saw a couple of Shovelers, Female Pintail, Water Rail & a Great White Egret in the channel. One of the Cattle Egrets was on the island briefly, before flying off to the fields on the side at Heron's Green. A Little Stint was also present. Pied Wagtails were foraging & flying along the bank. Back at Herriott's Bridge, a Grey Wagtail perched briefly at the edge of the channel. The Glossy Ibis that been there for few days flew over the road & landed on the pool. It remained in the area until 25th October & distant views were obtained from Herriot's Bridge.
